CTOnews.com February 9 news, SSD master control company Huirong Technology today reported revenue of US $200 million in the fourth quarter of 2022, a decrease of 20% compared with the previous quarter and 24% compared with the same period in 2021. Full-year revenue in 2022 reached $900 million, a slight increase of 3 per cent over 2021.

Gou Jiazhang, general manager of Huirong Technology, said: "in 2022, under the extremely challenging situation in the terminal market, our annual revenue still maintained a slight growth of 3 per cent, which significantly outperformed the overall performance of PC and the smart phone market."

In detail, Huirong Technology 2022 SSD master chip revenue decreased by 5-10%, but still better than the overall performance of the PC market. With the growth of PCIe Gen4 OEM orders, the revenue of SSD master chips designed in notebooks has increased by 30%, accounting for 2/3 of the total revenue of SSD master chips, compared with the same period in 2021, PC OEM orders account for less than half of the revenue of SSD master chips.

Huirong Technology expects that shipments of PCIe Gen 4 SSD master chips provided to PC OEM customers in 2023 will be further expanded, thanks to the upgrading of master chip technology, which has greatly improved SSD performance. It is believed that with the reopening of China and inventory clearance to a paragraph, the market will gradually pick up.
