Through the efforts of China Satcom and Air China, the Ka certification flight project has achieved phased results. After the successful delivery of the equipment, Air China Bmuri 737 aircraft also entered the stage of engineering conversion and forensics.

China Satcom and Star Airlines Interconnection will continue to work with Air China and Ameco to carry out a series of work, such as modification, network and software and hardware joint debugging and testing, to jointly create a full-business and full-process self-controllable project.

CTOnews.com learned that according to the law of technical iterative update, satellite networks are divided into different frequency bands such as L, ku and ka. Traditional Ku band satellite is the mainstream choice of domestic airlines, and the network experience is similar to terrestrial 2G or 3G network; Ka satellite landed late in China, and no aviation department tried to access Ka satellite network until 2020 when various conditions were ripe.
