Now HarmonyOS has officially launched a public trial recruitment of Beta for developers on its official website.

According to Huawei's official roadmap, the Release release will be available around April, so there is no need for ordinary users to take the risk to try the development version.

According to reports, HarmonyOS version 3.1 has upgraded the declarative development system "Hongmeng Development Suite" based on ArkTS language. In the public beta version of HarmonyOS 3.1 Beta, you can experience the convenience and efficiency of application development brought by ArkTS language, Stage model, ArkUI enhancements and DevEco Studio functions.

According to reports, the recruitment will last from February 6 to February 13, and the second batch of test recruitment will be launched. After submitting the report name information, whether the report name is successful or not needs to be reviewed (the audit period is 7-14 working days), and the final notification by Huawei official email (or SMS) shall prevail.

Stage development model is added to Ability framework, including Stage model life cycle management, scheduling, callback, context acquisition, authentication and so on. At the same time, the operation and management ability of the application is enhanced.

The ArkUI development framework enhances the ability of declarative Canvas / XComponent components, enhances the ability of component layout and state management, and optimizes the ease of use of some components.

The application package manages the interface for new query applications, Ability and ExtensionAbility-related properties.

Buffer binary read and write support has been added to the common basic class library.

Web service adds support for document preview and basic editing of document-like Web applications, as well as cookie management and storage management.

Added capabilities such as YUV and webp image codec for graphics and images, and native vsync capability for self-drawing engine to independently control rendering rhythm.

New camera configuration and preview functions have been added to the media service.

Window service adds window-related APIs under the Stage model to enhance the window rotation ability and enhance the query ability of avoidance areas.

Globalization services add support for international enhancements such as time zone list, transliteration, phone number attribution, and so on.

The common event foundation capability is enhanced, and the commonEvent module is changed to commonEventManager.
