CTOnews.com, February 9, Tesla has reached an agreement with a car owner from New Jersey who lost his steering wheel a week after buying Model Y. Tesla replaced his car and provided him with a free scooter during this period.

On January 30, the owner Priorak Patel said that the steering wheel of his Model Y was disconnected from the steering column of the vehicle just six days after delivery on January 24, and that he and his family were driving on the highway when the steering wheel was suddenly disconnected in a very dangerous condition, but fortunately they finally stopped the car safely on the side of the road.

Patel later contacted Tesla's after-sales department, who said they would investigate the car. A few days later, Tesla's showroom contacted Patel,Patel to ask for a new car, and Tesla promised to replace it for him, but the delivery time has not yet been determined.

Tesla said in a letter to Patel that they would buy back the vehicle, but denied that Model Y had any defects. "my main goal is to make sure that this doesn't happen to any other family, and they should investigate it and make sure that what they did wrong doesn't happen again," Patel said.
