A few days ago, Jiangnan Automobile, a subsidiary of Zhongtai Automobile, released a new official map of Jiangnan U2, a small pure electric car. CTOnews.com learned that the car will launch two endurance versions, with integrated mileage of 305km and 406km respectively.

In terms of appearance, Jiangnan U2 is based on the design concept of "urban retro aesthetics". The front face features combine modern and classical, square and round elements that seem to conflict.

The high light black closed grille and the lower surrounding opening shape use a large number of horizontal lines, which significantly improve the visual width of the front face; supplemented by the two sides of the grain crystal headlights, bring a bit of cute image.

From the side, the outline of the Jiangnan U2 is simple and capable, and its roof is slowly pressed back from the top of the A-pillar, and in one go with the tail spoiler, with a short front / rear suspension design, the body is proportional to movement, and is equipped with a black suspended roof and side skirt, highlighting the youthful dynamic temperament.

The Jiangnan U2 is equipped with a hidden door handle rarely seen on an A0-class pure electric car, as well as the only 17-inch U cool-cut aluminum alloy wheels in its class. In addition, the new car also provides a boundless starry sky with a lighting area of 1.24 inches.

The overall rear of the car shows a narrow proportion of width at the top and at the bottom. The left and right taillights are penetrated by a high-light black trim panel, and the internal structure of the lamp group is somewhat similar to that of the back crystal headlamp. It is understood that Jiangnan U2 will provide 6 body colors to choose from.

In terms of power, Jiangnan U2 is based on Jiangnan Automobile's J-Smart 1.0 pure electric platform. The car will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery and will be available in two power versions, with a maximum power of 55kW and 80kW, with peak torque of 120Nm and 160Nm respectively. In terms of battery life, the car will launch two models with integrated mileage of 305 km and 406 km respectively.

Recently, Zhongtai Motor issued a forecast of its results for 2022. It is estimated that the net loss attributed to shareholders of listed companies in 2022 is about 710 million yuan to 1 billion yuan, an increase of 0.63% over the same period last year, an increase of 41.74%. The operating income was 800 million yuan to 900 million yuan, compared with 825 million yuan in the same period last year. This means that Zhongtai Motor has lost money for four years in a row. Although it has been reborn and returned to production, the road ahead of Zhongtai Automobile is still full of challenges in the increasingly competitive automobile market.
