CTOnews.com, February 9, Netflix today announced a crackdown on password sharing in more countries and regions. Four new markets, Canada, New Zealand, Spain and Portugal, have been added to Chile, Costa Rica and Peru.

In the four new countries mentioned above, Netflix members who do not live together are required to pay "extra". CTOnews.com with related selling price:

Canada: 7.99 Canadian dollars (currently about 40.35 yuan)

New Zealand: 7.99 NZ dollars (currently about 34.2 yuan)

Portugal: 3.99 euros (currently about 29 yuan)

Spain: 5.99 euros (currently about 44 yuan)

These prices are based on the number of users, and the existing Netflix standard or advanced program can add up to two more people. People who currently share Netflix accounts with people outside their families can transfer their personal data to a separate paid Netflix account.

Netflix made it clear on the FAQ page that users who don't live together cannot share Netflix accounts. The platform will use information such as IP address, device ID, and account activity to determine whether the device logged into your account is connected to your primary location.

If the new device logged into the account is in a different location, Netflix will need a temporary code that allows you to log in to that location for seven consecutive days. Netflix explained that people who travel with major equipment will have no problem using Netflix elsewhere. However, to ensure uninterrupted access to Netflix, you need to connect to Wi-Fi from the primary location at least once every 31 days.
