After the PPT is done, in order to facilitate sending and previewing, and to ensure that the effect remains the same when others receive it and view it on their mobile phone or computer, the PPT is usually exported to PDF format.

Or, when you use PPT to make picture albums and posters, you need to take them to the print shop to print and be told to provide PDF documents.

As a result, it is found that the picture in the PDF file is blurred, the gradient effect is not natural, and the shadow appears mosaic.

As a result, PDF could not meet the requirements of high-quality printing. After sending it to customers or partners, it looked unprofessional, and was scolded again after it was sent to the leader, and even failed to bid because it could not see the details clearly.

If you have ever encountered this problem and have not solved it after freaking out, remember to read this article patiently. After all, "to learn is to earn".

If you haven't encountered a similar need, read it and collect it, because you'll need it sooner or later.

In this article, I will introduce four solutions from PPT to PDF, step by step, and teach you how to get ultra-high-quality PDF files.

Here we take the 58th imitation exercise page of our community as an example to show the differences in the results of the four schemes:

First of all, if you know that you need to export the PDF file before making PPT, it is recommended to open the PowerPoint option, click "Advanced", and set it as follows:

Check "do not compress the image in the file", select the default resolution to "high fidelity", lest PPT insert the picture and save, the picture is automatically compressed, resulting in the picture itself in PPT is not clear.

Of course, if you forgot to set up your PPT before, don't worry about it here, it's too late to change it now, and the highest quality of exported PDF is the current PPT display quality.

Next, start converting PPT to a PDF file.

First, direct export is the method used by most people, and the operation is the easiest:

Just click the "Files" tab, click Export and select create PDF document.

This solution exports PDF very quickly, which is the same as the result of saving and selecting PDF format in the following figure:

The size of the PDF file is 337KB, and the original PPT file is 8.22MB, just look at the file volume to know that the picture must be very compressed.

Open the PDF file and zoom in to verify:

If you look at the shadow in the lower left corner of the image above, you can see that the gradient of the shadow is very unnatural and has a very obvious mosaic effect.

Then focus on the part of the picture in PDF, as shown in the following illustration, the picture is compressed to a blur:

Although the effect of viewing the whole page is acceptable, it is almost impossible to see the details when zoomed in, and it is not recommended to use it in important scenarios.

Option 2, enlarge the canvas and export it to the Design tab, click "Slide size", open the "Custom Slide size" window, and enlarge the slide size proportionally:

For example, in the picture above, keep the proportion at 16:9 and change the size to 64X36.

After zooming in on the canvas, follow the operation of Scheme 1 to export PPT directly to a PDF file.

At this time, the file is still small, but slightly larger than solution one, with 677KB.

Still zoom in and observe the shadow effect in the lower left corner:

At this time, the shadow still has some mosaic effect, but it is acceptable, slightly better than option 1.

In addition, because the direct click is maximized when zooming in on the slide, the shadow parameters have also changed, resulting in smaller and lighter shadows after exporting the PDF file.

Then focus on the picture:

The picture is still blurred, but it is much clearer than plan one.

The effect of viewing the whole page of PDF is OK, and this solution is recommended for daily use.

It should be noted that if the shadow of the PDF file exported or saved from the first two scenarios is missing, or if the element with transparency is missing, you can set it as follows:

When exporting, click "options" and uncheck "match PDF".

Third, Adobe add-in export to use this scheme, you need to install a PDF reading and editing software: Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

The software not only has powerful PDF reading and editing functions, but also can directly convert PDF to PPT files, or even editable PPT source files.

For example, I recently sent some reports PDF with a page like this:

Click "File" directly in the software and export it as a presentation:

After export, the resulting PPT file looks like the following figure, which can almost be edited and used directly:

To get back to the point, after installing the software, in the PPT options-add-in, select the COM add-in and click go:

In the pop-up window, check the add-in for the software and click OK:

A new tab appears in the PPT interface: Acrobat

Next, with the help of this software, you can quickly export PPT to a PDF file, and there are three different methods of operation, and the results are all the same.

Method 1, on the far left side of the tab, click create PDF:

Method 2, click Save as Adobe PDF directly in the File tab:

Method 3, select create Adobe PDF in "Export":

The PDF file obtained through this scheme is larger than the first two schemes, has 2.69MB, and looks normal.

Open the PDF file and zoom in to verify the effect:

The shadow is more obvious mosaic effect, after the page shrinks, the shadow is slightly more normal.

The picture part is better than the first two schemes and is relatively clearer:

Although the image of the scheme is also compressed, it is a bit like the "sharpening" in the PPT image effect, making the lines and boundaries more obvious, so it looks relatively clearer and will not be pasted together like the first two schemes.

If you don't need to export ultra-high-quality PDF for printing, or export ultra-high-quality pictures, I personally prefer to use this solution to convert PPT to PDF files.

Because the effect of this scheme can meet the daily use, the image compression will not be too excessive, and the PDF volume is relatively small, so the file will not be too large as in the following scenario 4.

It should be noted that the four schemes introduced today can retain the editability of some of the contents in the PDF file, but the elements of the first three schemes are selectable and editable.

Option 4, print to PDF with high quality. This scheme also requires the above software, but not to save or export directly, but to borrow the printing function:

The ideas used in this plan, which I have mentioned in the article before.

However, some partners are successful, and some partners still have some problems with the PDF files exported.

Therefore, it will be explained in detail again today, which is convenient for everyone to refer to and operate.

First, in the printer tab, select Adobe PDF:

Then click Printer Properties, and in the pop-up window, click the Edit button to the right of the default settings:

A small pop-up window will pop up, click "General" on the left, and the numerically marked part on the right will be set as follows:

Turn off object-level compression, set the page to rotate automatically when printing, improve the print resolution and uncheck "optimize Fast Web View".

Then click the image on the left, set all the compression on the right to off, and set the first two samples to 300 or more pixels:

When this step is set, the original image will be retained when PPT is printed to PDF, and the picture in PDF will be as clear as it is in PPT.

Click OK or Save as below, name the scheme, then go back to the printer properties window and find your named print settings in the drop-down options of the default settings:

When you are sure, start printing, and you will get the following ghost-like PDF file:

There are two obvious problems:

01. All the shadows and transparency on the page are gone.

02. A white edge appears at the top or left or right of the PDF file, and the PDF page size is inconsistent with the PPT page size.

When we encounter a problem, we solve the problem and first restore the lost shadows and transparency in PDF.

Open the PPT option, click Advanced, pull to the bottom, and check "High quality" in the print settings:

Print again after confirmation to see the effect:

The shadows and transparent backgrounds are back, but there are still white edges up and down.

The reason for the white edge is that when we print, we choose the paper size A4, the print direction is horizontal, not the 16:9 slide ratio.

So, don't we just need to change the paper ratio to 16:9?

Still go back to the printer property settings window and look in the page size drop-down options:

You will find that there is no suitable size.

At this point, you can click the add button on the right to customize a 16:9 size for later reuse.

You can also select any printer in the Devices and printers folder, and then click print Server Properties above:

Create a new paper specification in the pop-up window, modify the width and height, and rename it, and finally make sure to save:

At this point, go back to the printer properties window and select the page size to the paper specification you just set:

After confirming, start printing, the resulting PDF page is as follows, and the size returns to normal:

Through this method of changing the paper size, you can easily print out ultra-long PDF files in the future, or perfectly print ultra-wide screen PPT into ultra-high quality PDF files.

Also zoom in on the page to check the shadow effect:

Gradients and shadows transition naturally, without the feel of a pixel block at all.

Then focus on the picture section to see how the quality of the picture is:

The effect is completely consistent with the original image in PPT, and it is very clear.

As you can see, the PDF file obtained by solution 4 is of the highest quality, can meet the ultra-clear requirements of the picture, and the shadow effect is very natural.

The only deficiency is that the PDF file is too large, fully 166MB, you know, this is only a page of PPT export, it is not very convenient to send.

Therefore, if you need to print or have other requirements such as ultra-high quality zooming, it is recommended to use option 4 for the best results.

If you only send PDF files to leaders or customers on a daily basis, it is recommended that you turn on the printer properties settings when printing. You don't need to set the pixels as high as before and there is no compression:

At this time, the default setting is "high-quality printing". The printed PDF is of high quality, and the file is not very large. It is simply a must-have package for workers.

In addition to the above advantages, the elements in the PDF file obtained by scenario 4 are the most selectable and editable, and most of the elements on the page can be selected or edited.

At this point, the method of transferring PPT to ultra-clear PDF files, as well as the shortcomings of other methods and the setting process are all written.

It seems to solve a very small problem, but in fact, I repeatedly tested, verified, and interspersed in the article a number of possible problems and the corresponding solutions, should be very comprehensive.
