Yongle Dadian, compiled during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, contains 22877 volumes and 11095 volumes, with a total of about 370 million words. It preserves a large number of materials on Chinese literature, art, history and geography, philosophy and applied science before the 14th century. It is known as "the largest encyclopedia in the history of the world". After 600 years, Yongle Dadian only has more than 400 copies, scattered in 8 countries and regions.

In November 2021, the National Library commissioned the National Library Publishing House to produce the high-definition database project "Yongle Dadian". In December 2021, the Digital Humanities Research Center of Peking University began to undertake the design and research and development of the project. Based on "Peking University-byte beat Digital Humanities Open Laboratory", the research center integrates the forces of Peking University and byte beat to form a joint design and R & D team to build a "Yongle Dadian" high-definition image database.

In the process of rotation, the shadow of Yongle ceremony should always be kept at the bottom of the page. The technical team builds the model so that it can rotate 360 degrees with the mouse and realize the inertia rotation of the model.

The 3D version of Yongle ceremony is for the public and needs to take into account different devices. The technical team allows every user to enjoy the ceremony smoothly by means of delayed loading of the material inside the book, compression of model source files, on-demand loading of model animation frames, model preloading and so on.

In addition, there is another highlight of the interactive page, that is, the background animation and sound effects are used to show the tortuous history of Yongle ceremony.

Yongle Dadian brings together all kinds of books from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the early Ming Dynasty. In the past, however, the Yongle ceremony was often seen only in museums.
