Data show that Canon Tokki was founded in 1967, is a Japanese display production equipment manufacturer, mainly engaged in vacuum technology application equipment (vacuum evaporation machine equipment) development, design, manufacture and sales.

It is reported that the company employs only a few hundred people, and its annual production of vacuum evaporator equipment has been in short supply. The company's evaporator is the equipment needed to produce the eighth generation OLED panels.

According to sources, LG display will be the first manufacturer to acquire Canon Tokki evaporator, followed by Samsung display and BOE. LG display is expected to get the eighth-generation OLED evaporator in the first quarter of next year, followed by Samsung between the second and third quarters of next year and BOE in the fourth quarter of next year.

Founded in April 1993, BOE produces not only OLED screens for Huawei, Glory, Xiaomi and vivo, but also liquid crystal displays (LCD) for Apple's iPad and MacBook.

In early January, apple analyst Guo Mingyi revealed that BOE beat Samsung to get most of the orders for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, accounting for 70%, making it the largest screen provider for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
