By the end of 2019, "4.3 billion IPv4 addresses have been officially allocated worldwide."

IPv6 can provide as many as 2 to the 128th power of addresses, which can "allocate every grain of sand in the world to an IP address" to comprehensively solve the problem of IP address exhaustion.
