CTOnews.com, February 8, China quality Association released the results of the 2022 customer satisfaction Index of China's new energy vehicle industry in Beijing. The evaluation shows that the customer satisfaction level of China's new energy vehicle industry exceeds that of fuel vehicles for the first time, and the model satisfaction level of some strong brands remains in the lead. BYD and Weilai respectively have 6 models and 3 models have won the first satisfaction in market segments.

The subjects are 49 brand models with large sales in 2022, involving 23 automobile manufacturing enterprises across the country. The survey covers 57 key cities in the eastern, southern, western, northern and central market regions. The survey will be conducted from May 1 to August 30, 2022. The survey methods were face-to-face interview and online survey, using fixed-point interception interview, telephone appointment interview and online interview, a total of 5710 valid samples were collected.

The survey results show that the customer satisfaction index of China's new energy vehicle industry in 2022 is 81 (out of 100), 1 point higher than that of fuel vehicles and 1 point higher than that of the same period last year. Among them, the pure electric vehicle customer satisfaction index is 80 points, maintaining the highest level in history. Plug-in hybrid car customer satisfaction index 81 points, a year-on-year increase of 1 point, another record high. Statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers also show that in 2022, the sales of new energy vehicles in China reached 25.6% of the total sales of new cars, an increase of 12.2 percentage points over the same period last year.

The survey shows that the continuous improvement of perceived quality and brand image is the main reason why the customer satisfaction level of new energy vehicles surpasses that of fuel vehicles. In addition, new energy vehicles have overall product quality advantages and service quality advantages over fuel vehicles. However, as satisfaction continues to improve, users' expectations of new energy vehicles will become higher and higher, and they will become more picky about the problems that arise in the experience, and the complaint rate will also rise. the survey shows that the rate of complaints from users of new energy vehicles and the number of failures of 100 new vehicles have increased. The complaint rate of new energy vehicle users in 2022 was 20%, up 5 percentage points from the same period last year. The number of failures of 100 new vehicles of pure electric vehicles was 99, up 13 times compared with the same period last year.

The China quality Association pointed out that the level of customer satisfaction in China's new energy vehicle industry exceeds that of fuel vehicles for the first time, indicating that new energy vehicles have a competitive advantage over fuel vehicles.
