Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, Feb. 8, although Apple's Apple Pay Later was announced on WWDC as early as 2022, the "buy and pay" feature has not yet been released to the public. That could change soon, however, as a report shows that Apple has expanded its "internal testing" of the feature to its thousands of retail employees, suggesting that the feature is finally available to the public.

Apple CEO Tim Cook mentioned the imminent launch of the Apple Pay Later when he released the company's financial results last week, when Cook said the feature was being tested among some Apple employees. A report from Bloomberg today shows that the scope of the test has been greatly expanded.

According to the report, Apple contacted its retail employees this week to provide them with a beta service before its public launch. "Apple has about 270 stores in the United States and more than 80,000 employees across the country, allowing the company to quickly test this feature with a large number of employees," Bloomberg explained.

Apple Pay Later is a new financial service from Apple that allows iPhone and Mac users in the United States to divide their payments into four installments over six weeks without paying additional interest or fees.

CTOnews.com noted that today's Bloomberg report includes another piece of grapevine about Apple's ambitions in the "buy and pay" area. According to the report, Apple is also developing a version of Apple Pay Later called Apple Pay Monthly Installments (Apple pays monthly installments).

As the name implies, this will allow users to divide larger purchases into equal payments over a longer period of time. However, unlike short-term Apple Pay Later installments, this payment plan will incur interest charges.
