CTOnews.com, Feb. 8-Apple has rented a sizeable office building in Sunnyvale, Calif., in order to expand its Bay Area business.

According to SiliconValley.com, a public record by Santa Clara County officials shows that Apple has rented an office building at 605 West Maude Avenue in Sunnyvale. The office building was previously rented by LinkedIn.

Like 505 North Mathilda Avenue and 555 North Mathilda Avenue, the 605 West Maude Avenue office building also belongs to the Kilroy Realty Group. Apple previously leased the first two buildings, but now Apple has expanded the lease, which covers an area of about 150000 square feet (currently about 13935 square meters).

CTOnews.com calculates that the average size of the three buildings leased by Apple is 2123000 square feet (currently about 197226.7 square meters), and the new lease brings the total office space to 574600 square feet (currently about 53380.34 square meters). The document does not mention Apple's specific lease date, but according to current information, Apple has begun to renovate and upgrade the interior and exterior of the office building.
