Twitter selects the "for you" tab by default, which means that the content of this tab is algorithmically recommended, not published by bloggers who are followed by fans.

After strong opposition from users, Twitter's official support account tweeted today that Android and iOS Twitter apps can be set by users themselves, and many users welcomed the change below this tweet.

The Verge tested the new Twitter app for Android and iOS and now remembers the option for users to close their previous home page. For example, after the user switches to the "watching" tab, he closes the application, and when he opens it again, it will still be the "watching" tab.

CTOnews.com has learned that Twitter does not currently have a dedicated option for users to select the "Recommended for you" and "Following" tabs.

It's worth noting that this isn't the first or second time Twitter has tried a different timeline. Back in 2019, iOS added similar features. However, the platform eventually abandoned the idea and went back to the regular timeline, as the new timeline was not approved by users.
