CTOnews.com, February 7 (Xinhua)-- according to The Verge, Sonos is developing new high-end smart speakers that will compete with Apple's HomePod and HomePod mini. The new speakers, Era 300s and Era 100s, will be launched in the coming months and have been under development since mid-2022.

Era 300, the 3D rendering of Sonos speakers produced by The Verge, will be Sonos's new flagship speaker, supporting Dolby panoramic sound and space audio. The Verge said the speaker will provide "the richest single speaker fidelity" in Sonos history, and other features will include USB-C input, support for Wi-Fi 6, and low-power Bluetooth.

There are few details about the Era 100s, but both new speakers will have a new design that supports automatic tuning and sound optimization. Era 100s may be the successor to the more affordable Sonos One.

CTOnews.com has learned that the launch date and price of the new Era speakers are unknown, and Sonos is still developing second-generation "Move" speakers and plans to launch a new product category in 2023, but the details are not yet clear.
