CTOnews.com, February 6-Microsoft Windows 11's system requires 4GB memory to function properly. However, an enthusiast successfully started Windows 11 on a computer with 196MB memory.

Twitter user @ XenoPanther uses Tiny11, a modified Windows 11 system, which cuts off some components of Windows 11, reduces the system footprint to less than 8GB, and reduces memory requirements to only 2GB.

XenoPanther tried to start Tiny11 in an environment of 196MB memory. After a 30-minute wait and a blue screen crash, the device successfully started the system. After that, he opened the task manager and waited for another 15 minutes. As you can see, the memory footprint is more than 99%.

It does not seem to work properly under such conditions, but it does further lower the operating requirements of Windows 11.

CTOnews.com learned that after Tiny11 has been stripped down, the system is "unmaintainable", but users can still update .NET, drivers, and security definitions through Windows Update.
