CTOnews.com, February 6 (Xinhua) Xiaomi's Poco X series usually offers high refresh rate screens, high-capacity fast-charging batteries and value-for-money chips (leaving flagship performance for F-series phones), and now the new Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro series phones have been released in India and the international market.

The body of Xiaomi's Poco X5 Pro is even thinnest, with a thickness of 7.9mm, making it the thinnest Poco X-series phone to date.

Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro phone carries Snapdragon 778G chip, including Adreno 642L GPU, using TSMC 6nm process. It is much faster than the Snapdragon 695 in the previous generation of X4 Pro.

CTOnews.com learned that Xiaomi's Poco X5 Pro phone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. Support for rendering 10bit colors, 100% DCI-P3 color space. The display is brighter, reaching a peak of 900 nits (more than 700 nits). 1920Hz PWM dimming is supported. Covered with fifth-generation gorilla glass.

The Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro phone features a 108MP, a 1.52-inch main camera sensor, a 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera, with a front 16MP selfie camera. The 108MP main camera can record 4K video with a faster chip.

Snapdragon 778G brings faster ISP (2 megapixels per second) and more powerful NPU (computing power 12TOPS). The most obvious upgrade is to support 4K@30fps video recording (the previous generation was 1080p@30fps shooting). In addition, the camera is also faster to use, for example, a 69% increase in photo speed and a 38% increase in night mode.

The new Snapdragon 778G chip also enables faster local connections via Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 (upgraded from Wi-Fi 5 and BT 5.1). In addition, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone Jack, an infrared transmitter and an NFC (at least in some areas).

The phone also has a USB-C port and can use the included charger to charge the 5000mAh battery at 67W fast charging power.

The Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro is available in blue, black and iconic yellow.

Xiaomi Poco X5 Standard Edition Xiaomi Poco X5 Standard Edition retains the Snapdragon 695 chip on the X4 Pro, but the basic storage capacity has doubled to 128GB. There is also a 8GB+256GB storage version that supports microSD extensions and can add up to 1TB. Poco X5 Standard Edition comes with MIUI 13 for Poco.

The Xiaomi Poco X5 has a 6.67-inch display with the same FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate as the Pro. Using 8it display, covered with gorilla glass 3 protection. But the peak brightness is even higher, reaching 1200 nits.

The millet Poco X5 uses the 48MP main camera (limited to 1080p video shooting due to the chip), 8MP ultra wide angle camera and 2MP macro camera, and a front 13MP selfie camera.

Xiaomi Poco X5 has a built-in 5000mAh battery, but the charging speed slows down to 33W. A 33W adapter is included in the box, which can charge 0-100% in 68 minutes. The wireless connection uses the older Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, but is also equipped with a 3.5mm headset e Jack, an infrared transmitter and NFC (in some areas).

The standard version of the Xiaomi Poco X5 6GB+128GB costs $250,250 (currently about 1698 yuan) and the 8GB+256GB costs $300 / 300 (currently about 2037 yuan).

Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro will be launched in India next week (without the Poco X5 standard edition), with the 6GB+128GB priced at 23000 Indian rupees (currently about 1893 yuan) and the 8GB+256GB priced at 25000 Indian rupees (currently about 2058 yuan).
