CTOnews.com Feb. 6, last April, Samsung released the mobile solid state drive T7 Shield, which is available only in 1TB and 2TB versions. Recently, Samsung launched the 4TB version of T7 Shield mobile solid state disk, the initial price of 2399 yuan, is now officially on sale.

The 4TB version has only the "Night Dark" color, which claims to be able to withstand the drop impact of up to 3 meters, and has passed the IP65 grade dustproof and waterproof certification. Despite the new durable design, the T7 Shield is still small and lightweight, weighing only about 98g.

CTOnews.com learned that the T7 Shield has a read speed of 1050MB/s and a write speed of 1000MB/s, which is currently the highest transfer speed of Samsung based on the USB 3.2 Gen2 standard. This is about twice as fast as its Samsung T5 and 9.5 times faster than Samsung's external mechanical hard drive HX-MTD10EA.

Samsung has also optimized the interior and exterior of the product to avoid performance degradation and overheating problems when transferring large files by changing surface materials and improving T7 Shield software. As a result of this improvement, stable performance can be maintained even if 2TB files are transferred at once.
