CTOnews.com February 6 news, Sony recently officially released PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) intelligent center composition camera new SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 with artificial intelligence analysis function, will be launched in May 2023.

Sony said the new product not only supports artificial intelligence analysis, automatic recognition shooting, intelligent central composition, but also automatically and stably tracks speakers, whether sideways or fast, or continuously tracks targets in multi-person pictures, and has three automatic composition modes to choose from.

Specifically, SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 support artificial intelligence analysis with deep learning capabilities, which can improve shooting efficiency and practicality. The new product supports three intelligent composition modes: full-body, half-body and close-up, with higher freedom when shooting.

CTOnews.com understands that Sony says the camera automatically starts working immediately after it is turned on, searching for and identifying targets to track. SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 feature artificial intelligence recognition technology that accurately identifies the subject's face even when wearing a mask, while the addition of a warning light allows users to easily identify the camera that is tracking the target.

In terms of image quality, both SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 use high-sensitivity Exmor R CMOS image sensors that support 4K 30p and FHD 60p formats. The SRG-A40 supports sharp image zoom technology, which can be increased from 20x to 30x in 4K format, 40x in FHD format, and 12x in SRG-A12 format. In telephoto conversion mode, the SRG-A40 can be expanded to 80x zoom, while the SRG-A12 can be expanded to 24x zoom, and smooth and fast PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) control can be achieved between multiple devices. In addition, day mode and night mode help optimize shooting in bright and dark environments.

In addition, Sony's new cameras support 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP connectivity, and can be remotely controlled via VISCA / VISCA over IP. SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 also support PoE++ power supply standard, using a single cable for power supply, output and control.
