CTOnews.com, February 5 (Xinhua)-- according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is unlikely to launch a Mac Studio with M2 Ultra chip in the near future.

Gurman revealed in the latest issue of the "Power On" newsletter that due to the upcoming launch of the Mac Pro with M2 Ultra chip, the functional configuration of the machine is very similar to Mac Studio, Apple may wait until the release of M3 or M4 chips before launching a new Mac Studio, or no longer update the Mac Studio product line.

CTOnews.com has learned that so far there have been few rumors about the next Mac Studio, and last month it was reported that Apple had scaled back its plans for its first Apple Silicon Mac Pro and cancelled the M2 Extreme chip version. The new Mac Pro is expected to be available only on M2 Ultra chips.

The M2 Ultra chip is expected to improve performance on the M2 Max chip, which is currently only suitable for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. Due to the less modular and similar performance of the upcoming Mac Pro, it may indeed be better for Apple to delay updating the new Mac Studio product until a new product location is found for it.
