CTOnews.com, February 5, China Automobile Association data show that in 2022, China's new energy vehicles continued to grow explosively, with production and sales of 705.8 million and 6.887 million vehicles respectively, an increase of 96.9% and 93.4% respectively over the same period last year, with a market share of 25.6%.

With the increase in sales and market share, the number of new energy vehicles has increased significantly during the Spring Festival this year. According to data from the State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company, the province's high-speed charging stations under the jurisdiction of Shanxi Electric Power provided 23674 charging services during the Spring Festival holiday, an increase of 108.37 percent over the same period last year, and the rechargeable capacity exceeded 4.4 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 129.17 percent over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that the "Circular on further invigorating Automobile Circulation and expanding Automobile consumption" issued by 17 departments, including the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, last month involved supporting the purchase and use of new energy vehicles, including supporting the consumption of new energy vehicles and the construction of charging facilities.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers had previously predicted that China's new energy vehicles will continue to maintain rapid growth this year, and sales are expected to exceed 9 million.
