The results of the Geekbench 5 CPU test showed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra lagged behind the iPhone 14 Pro Max with the A16 processor in both multicore and single-core performance, and surprisingly, the Galaxy S23 Ultra lagged behind the Red Devils 8 Pro in the single-core test. Gsmarena explained that the S23 Ultra did not use a large Cortex-X3 core in multicore testing.

In the Anhare test, the Galaxy S23 Ultra lags behind the Red Devils 8 Pro, but the latter is a game phone with a screen resolution of only 1080pinch and requires less graphic computing power. After all, Anbunny is a comprehensive test. The results also show that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is much faster than Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 chip, even faster than A16 Bionic in iPhone 14 Pro Max.

When it comes to GPU-intensive tasks, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy has a significant advantage. The Galaxy S23 Ultra leads other phones in almost all Offscreen tests, losing only when challenged by lower-resolution phones in the Onscreen test.

Overall, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is 30-35% faster than the Galaxy S22 Ultra in the CPU test and about 30% faster in the Anbunny 9 comprehensive benchmark test. In GFX Bench and 3DMark GPU tests, the Galaxy S23 Ultra provides up to 2x performance improvement and, in most cases, 80-90% improvement.
