According to reports, the project is the first offshore wind power project off the coast of southern Fujian, and is located in the offshore area southeast of the Liuao Peninsula, Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. the total installed capacity of the project is 400MW and the total investment is nearly 6 billion.

According to Gong Kuangmin, deputy general manager of the Zhangpu Strait Company of the three Gorges Group, at present, offshore wind farms in China usually use models with a unit capacity of less than 10 megawatts. The Zhangpu Phase II project will use super-large unit capacity units in batches for the first time. The larger the unit capacity of the fan is, the higher the power generation efficiency will be, the sea area will be reduced, and the costs of development and operation and maintenance will be reduced accordingly.

The project plans to complete the first batch of units to be connected to the grid by the end of August this year, and the annual grid power will exceed 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours after all are put into production.

In 2022, the newly installed wind power and photovoltaic power accounted for 78% of the new installed capacity in the country, and the new wind photovoltaic power generation accounted for more than 55% of the new generation capacity in the country that year.
