CTOnews.com, February 4 (Xinhua)-- the Hewlett-Packard Fortis series of notebooks are economical notebooks for the education market, with enhanced ports and corners, as well as splash-proof keyboards, designed for use in the classroom.

HP Pro x360 Fortis 11 G11 Hewlett-Packard launched this product line last year, and now the company is updating the Fortis series with two new 11.6in notebooks: the HP Pro x360 Fortis 11 G11 model with Intel Alder Lake-N processor (N100 / N200) and Windows 11 system version, and the HP Fortis X360 11 Chromebook G3 model with Intel Jasper Lake (Caiyang N4500 / N5100, Pentium Silver N6000) and Google ChromeOS.

Both models feature an 11.6-inch touchscreen and 360-degree hinges that allow the PC to be used in laptop, tablet, tent or standing mode.

CTOnews.com learned that the Windows model also supports optional pressure-sensitive pens that can be placed above the keyboard when not in use. Hewlett-Packard also offers an optional 4G LTE version for Windows models, as well as support for M.2 2230 PCIe SSD and HDMI and Ethernet ports.

The HP Fortis x360 11 Chromebook G3 compares with the HP Fortis x360 11 Chromebook G3 with fewer ports, fewer processor choices, and no stylus or cellular network options. But the Chromebook starts at a low price, starting at $339 (currently about 2295 yuan) (Windows notebooks start at $479 and currently about 3243 yuan).

The two new Fortis series laptops launched by Hewlett-Packard for the education market will be available in February.
