CTOnews.com February 4 news, Hyundai Kia this week announced full-year 2022 results, revenue growth of more than 20% year-on-year.

Among them, Hyundai Motor's total revenue reached 142.5 trillion won (currently about 780.9 billion yuan), an increase of 21.2 percent over the same period last year, and its full-year operating profit was 9.82 trillion won (currently about 53.814 billion yuan), an increase of 47 percent over the same period last year. Net profit was 7.98 trillion won (currently about 43.73 billion yuan), up more than 40% from the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that Kia's total revenue in 2022 was 86.56 trillion won (currently about 474.349 billion yuan), and its full-year operating profit was 7.23 trillion won (currently about 39.62 billion yuan), an increase of 23.9% and 42.8% respectively over the same period last year. Net profit was 5.41 trillion won (currently about 296.47 billion yuan), up 13.6% from a year earlier.

In terms of sales, Hyundai sold 3944579 vehicles worldwide in 2022, up 1.4 per cent from 2021, while Kia sold 2903619 vehicles in 2022, up 4.6 per cent from 2021. Hyundai Motor Group's total global sales reached 6848198 vehicles in 2022, making it the third largest automobile group in the world after Toyota and Volkswagen.

In terms of electric vehicles, Hyundai's pure electric cars IONIQ (Eni Krypton) 5 and IONIQ (Eni Krypton) 6 sold more than 100, 000 vehicles worldwide in 2022. In 2022, Kia sold 487000 electric vehicles, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric models, up 54.8 per cent from a year earlier.

Kia has set a global sales target of 3200000 vehicles in 2023, with a target of 2614880 for the non-South Korean market and 585120 for domestic sales. The revenue goal is to achieve 97.6 trillion won (currently about 534.848 billion yuan) in revenue, 9.3 trillion won (currently about 50.964 billion yuan) in operating profit and 9.5% operating profit margin.
