For some users, they are more concerned about the security of the system than reducing memory and storage space. NTDev, the developer of Tiny11, promises that although the system is extremely streamlined, it still retains relatively perfect security protection in the occupied 8GB storage space.

CTOnews.com learned that developer NTDev explained that Tiny11 retained Microsoft Store and that users could install a variety of Windows applications and tools.

After the extreme simplification of Tiny11, the system is "unmaintainable", but users can still update .NET, drivers, security definitions and other updates through Windows Update. In addition, Tiny11 removes Windows component storage (WinSxS), which means that users cannot install new features or languages.

By default, Tiny11 uses a local account, but the option to set up an online account still exists. Note, however, that features such as widgets in Windows 11 still require a Microsoft account to use.
