CTOnews.com February 4 news, according to foreign science and technology media MacRumors reports, user feedback after upgrading to macOS Ventura 13.2, there is an incompatible Pioneer brand CD / DVD / Blu-ray optical drive connected through USB.

Apple officially launched the macOS 13.2system update in late January, which fixes various bugs and enables a new Apple ID security key feature.

CTOnews.com queried the Reddit community, Twitter social media and Apple / Pioneer support forums and found that a lot of users reported the above problems.

Pioneer officials wrote in a notice:

We have determined that our optical drive will not be recognized correctly in Apple's macOS Ventura 13.2 released on January 23, 2023.

We are currently investigating this symptom. We hope that customers using our optical drive will not update to macOS Ventura 13.2.
