CTOnews.com, February 3 (Xinhua)-- NVIDIA's upcoming Ada GPU (including AD106 and AD107) has gradually surfaced. If nothing happens, it will be unveiled on GTC 2023 in the near future, or even next month, and will soon be used in mainstream desktops and laptops.

According to the latest news from @ Moore's Law Is Dead, although the appearance of the two GPU models is similar to that of previous models, the chip area is smaller than that of the previous generation.

It is said that the size of Ada AD106 GPU is about 180-190mm2, which is about 30% smaller than GA106 GPU, while the size of AD107 GPU is about 150-160mm2, 20% smaller than GA107 GPU. Here are the chip sizes of the two GPU models:

He pointed out that although the graphics cards were small, Nvidia priced them as high as high-end models, costing thousands of dollars for at least one laptop. He called on users not to rush to buy new phones, forcing Nvidia to cut prices.

According to available intelligence, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is expected to use AD106-350-A1 GPU, a castrated version of the AD106 chip, which should contain 34 SM or 4352 CUDA cores, 8 GB GDDR6 video memory, 128bit bit width, 18 Gbps speeds and 288 GB / s bandwidth.

But we haven't really confirmed any desktop AD107 GPU yet, but considering that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 laptops won't be released until at least February 22, we don't think Nvidia's RTX 4060 RTX 70 desktop graphics cards will arrive in such a hurry, especially as the RTX 30 series graphics cards are still in stock.
