CTOnews.com learned that Lanci, an Italian, was born in 1954. After graduating from college in 1981, he joined the Italian branch of Texas Instruments and was promoted to general manager of the company in several regions. Lanqi joined Acer after Acer acquired the notebook computer division of Texas Instruments in 1997.

In 2005, Lanqi was promoted to general manager of Acer, and in 2008, Lanqi served as Acer CEO. During his tenure at Acer CEO, Acer maintained double-digit growth in its notebook business and became one of the top three PC manufacturers in the world, behind only Hewlett-Packard and Dell. In April 2011, Lanci left Acer.

In September 2011, Lanqi officially joined Lenovo as a corporate consultant. In April 2012, Lanqi officially became senior vice president of Lenovo and president of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. On March 24, 2015, Lenovo announced that it would readjust its business group and regional deployment after successfully integrating its recently completed M & A business, and appointed Jiang Fankelanqi as the new president and chief operating officer of Lenovo Group.

Jiang Van Cranch announced his retirement from Lenovo in September 2021. At the age of 67, he returned to Italy to become the owner of the Dosio & Coppo winery group.
