According to CTOnews.com on February 3, a Tesla Cybertruck prototype was found on a public road in Palo Alto, California, with a new exterior rearview mirror design.

Cybertruck is close to the early stage of production, and the carmaker has finalized the design of the vehicle, according to Franz von Holzhausen, chief vehicle designer of Tesla.

Judging from the pictures, the Tesla Cybertruck prototype car seems to have adopted a new triangular design of the exterior rearview mirror to suit the car's futuristic design.

Musk said that the Cybertruck is still making more minor optimizations, but the current version is very close to final production, and the rearview mirror can be removed by the owner.

The previous Cybertruck was equipped with a more traditional rectangular rearview mirror, or some had no rearview mirror at all.

According to Tesla's chief vehicle designer, the design of the car has been finalized and the Cybertruck mass production model is expected to use triangular rearview mirrors.

CTOnews.com learned that Musk said in a recent earnings call for the fourth quarter of 2022 that production of Cybertruck is scheduled to start this summer and that mass production will begin sometime in 2024.
