In this regard, in the previous construction planning, the construction team plans to use a mud-water balance shield machine with an excavation diameter of 16.03 meters in the south extension project of Heping Avenue, with a single hole and six lanes connected to Heping Avenue in the north and Wujindi Road in the south. At that time, vehicles can walk through the tunnel from Zhongshan Road to Zhangzhidong Road in 5 minutes, which can effectively relieve the traffic pressure in the east-west direction of Wuchang along the river and greatly improve the city traffic efficiency.
However, because it is located in the core area of the city, there are many major sources of risk in the process of tunnel tunneling. under the tunnel, there are more than 500 old buildings and many former homes of celebrities. And the geological conditions of shield tunneling are complex, including hard rock, soft and hard uneven strata and karst cave area, and the karst hole rate is as high as 40.5%. Among them, the maximum rock strength is as high as 200 MPA, and the cutters are stopped and changed many times during shield tunneling.
In addition, the horizontal distance from the tunnel of Metro Line 5 is only 10 meters, and the shield hard rock tunneling is easy to disturb the shaped tunnel of Line 5, which is one of the tunnels with high technical content and difficulty in domestic construction.
CTOnews.com learned that in view of the characteristics, difficulties, and risk points of the above project, the Shield of the 14th Bureau of China Railway gave full play to its core technical advantages, designed and optimized the shield machine, and invited Qian Qihu, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and other experts to guide and check the construction problems.
In the process of tunneling, the construction team applies automatic monitoring construction technology to set up observation points for sensitive structures along the line, monitor settlement data in real time, adjust tunneling parameters synchronously, and realize safe and smooth crossing.
The southern extension of Wuhan Peace Avenue is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2023, which will effectively improve the traffic travel conditions of the ancient city of Wuchang, alleviate the traffic pressure on Zhongshan Road-Baishazhou Avenue, and form a backbone traffic channel along the river in Wuchang.
