In announcing its fourth-quarter results today, Meta said it currently has more than 2 billion daily active users. The report marks an increase of 16 million daily active users in Facebook compared to the previous quarter.

Facebook is not the first product from Meta to reach 2 billion daily active users, but at least it shows that the social media network is growing. Meta's first product with more than 2 billion daily active users is WhatsApp.

CTOnews.com learned that CEO Mark Zuckerberg referred to the company's recent restructuring, which will cut 11000 jobs, and said in a statement: "our management theme for 2023 is the year of Year of Efficiency' efficiency."

Meta's revenue shrank last year, but the company reached $32.2 billion in the last quarter of 2022. Although it is down 4% from last year, it is still slightly better than expected.
