CTOnews.com, Feb. 2 (Xinhua)-- photo-sharing social platform Pinterest will cut about 150 jobs, less than 5% of its workforce, Bloomberg reported.

Pinterest notified the affected employees on Wednesday local time, according to a person familiar with the matter at ▲ Touyuan Pexels. The layoffs involved multiple Pinterest teams, but not all of them were affected to the same extent.

Confirming the layoffs, a Pinterest spokesman said: "We are making structural adjustments to further prepare for the company's priorities and long-term strategy." However, the spokesman declined to confirm the number of layoffs.

CTOnews.com learned that a Pinterest spokesman added that Pinterest would provide termination plans, benefits and other services to all affected employees during the transition period.
