CTOnews.com Lecture: the Google Quick pairing Service (GFPS) uses Bluetooth low power consumption (BLE) to discover nearby Bluetooth devices without consuming a lot of cell phone power, enabling "magical" scenarios based on device proximity.

The main feature of this feature is the support for audio switching, which seamlessly converts headset connections between devices based on user activity (for example, starting a movie) and priority events (such as incoming calls).

According to screenshots shared by Mishaal Rahman, phones that support Google Quick pairing will pop up a QR code after detecting a nearby product (such as a headset / phone) that supports the same feature, and users can scan the QR code to transmit data from the phone.

However, before transmission, the fast pairing function needs to be verified by biometrics or PIN code, which should prevent unwanted data transmission.

The settings will run automatically next, but some OEM may require additional steps. On Samsung's Galaxy S23 model, Samsung will remind users to install Smart Switch applications.

On the whole, the smart phone can find the target phone more quickly and complete the data migration and transmission through the fast pairing function.
