CTOnews.com February 2 news, Samsung Galaxy S23 series has been released in the early hours of this morning, the current benchmark test on the performance of the new GPU has been released, and compared with the Galaxy S22 series with Exynos 2200 processor, the results show that Samsung's new flagship GPU performance has been greatly improved.

The software used in the test is 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, which can push the performance of GPU to the limit. Samsung's Galaxy S23 and S23 + scored 3811 and 3799 respectively, with an average frame rate of 20.80. By contrast, the Galaxy S22 + with Exynos 2200 SoC has a score of 1689 and an average frame rate of 10.10, giving the new flagship a big lead.

Samsung's Galaxy S23 Ultra has the same lead over the Galaxy S22 Ultra, with the highest score of 3874, averaging 23.20 frames during the benchmark, while the S22 Ultra has a score of 1912 and an average frame rate of 11.40 frames.

CTOnews.com learned that the Samsung Galaxy S23 is equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform (for Galaxy), which is exclusively customized by Samsung, which not only increases the main frequency of CPU to 3.36GHz, but also its Adreno 740GPU frequency from 680MHz to 719MHz. On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 series with Exynos 2200 SoC uses Xclipse 920 GPU with a frequency of 555MHz, which shows a large gap.

Samsung made its last attempt last year to launch a RDNA2-based Xclipse GPU in partnership with AMD, but this strategy does not seem to work well, with the Exynos 2200 SoC and its Xclipse 920 GPU unable to compete with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 and the overclocked Adreno 740s.
