The above-mentioned App should complete the rectification and implementation work before February 10, 2023, and those who fail to make rectification within the time limit will be disposed of in accordance with the law.

In addition, the Sichuan Provincial Communications Administration also announced two typical cases of App violations in Sichuan and Chongqing:

Typical case 1: a game App in Sichuan Province, which can be downloaded from many mainstream application stores throughout the network, with a total of more than 10 million downloads. The App has "illegal collection and use of personal information". App collects and uses personal information beyond the scope of the service without the consent of the user and the non-service must or without reasonable use scenarios. This behavior violates the typical violation problems such as "illegal collection of personal information" and "illegal use of personal information" in the notice on carrying out in-depth promotion of the special rectification action of App infringing on the rights and interests of users (letter No. 2020 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology).

Typical case 2: an online education App in Chongqing, which can be downloaded from many mainstream app stores throughout the network, with a total number of downloads of more than 100, 000 times. The App is running for the first time without the user's consent. Privately collect users' personal information MAC address, androidID and running application list information "does not list the purpose, manner and scope of personal information collected and used by third-party SDK integrated by App one by one in public texts such as privacy policies." This behavior violates the typical violations such as "illegal collection of personal information" and "non-public collection and use rules" in the notice on carrying out in-depth promotion of App's special rectification action against users' rights and interests (Ministry of Industry and Information Management letter (2020) No.164).
