CTOnews.com, February 2 (Xinhua)-- Samsung unveiled three models, the 6.1in Galaxy S23, 6.6inch Galaxy S23 + and 6.8inch Galaxy S23 Ultra, at the Galaxy Unpacked launch in the early hours of this morning.

Galaxy S23 Ultra

All three models are equipped with AMOLED screens with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and the Ultra model uses a borderless design similar to that of the previous generation.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with a brand new 200 megapixel wide-angle camera, as well as two 1000-megapixel telephoto cameras and 1200-megapixel ultra-wide-angle cameras that support 3x and 10x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is configured as follows

Samsung official said in a press release that the Galaxy S23 Ultra's powerful camera configuration and excellent algorithm bonus can control almost any light environment, showing a wealth of details.

Samsung officials also said that they have improved the Nightography super night scene shooting function, taking clearer photos and videos in low light conditions than their predecessors, greatly reducing noise, and adopting new image signal processing algorithms to enhance colors and details.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra front selfie camera has a built-in fast autofocus, which Samsung calls "Super HDR selfie camera" and can record video at 60 frames per second.

CTOnews.com learned that other camera features include dual optical anti-shake, 360-degree audio recording and object-based AI optimization, which analyzes every detail in the picture to carefully reflect a person's dynamic characteristics.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra offers up to 1TB storage options with built-in 5000mAh capacity batteries. Other features of the Galaxy S23 Ultra include IP68 waterproof grade, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for display, accompanying S Pen, support for Wi-Fi 6e, fingerprint sensor and facial recognition, and more.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is also equipped with the second generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform (for Galaxy), which brings end-game-level games, professional imaging and other features to consumers around the world; in addition, Samsung Galaxy S23 series also uses Snapdragon X70 and Qualcomm FastConnect connection system, and second-generation Qualcomm 3D Sonic off-screen sensors to create an advanced mobile experience for consumers.

This year's colors include Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender. A press conference will be held in China on February 10, when the Bank of China price will be announced.

Galaxy S23 and S23 +

Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 + adopt a design language similar to S23 Ultra in appearance, abandoning the camera module and replacing it with a separate camera unit. It even uses the same color as Ultra.

The S23 and S23 + are still not as powerful as their flagship devices, but both models have also upgraded chips, cameras and batteries.

Like its predecessor, the S22, the S23 starts at $799 (currently about 5401 yuan), while the S23 Plus starts at $999 (currently about 6753 yuan). A press conference will be held in China on February 10, and the exact date of the sale is not clear.
