Samsung did not mention whether there were any specific products under development, nor did it provide a timetable for any upcoming hybrid reality products or services. CTOnews.com learned that hybrid reality is a general term used to describe technologies that combine augmented reality and virtual reality. By contrast, virtual reality technology includes the wearer in a 360-degree virtual world, such as Meta Quest 2.

Apple is expected to release a hybrid reality headline in 2023, which could cost as much as $3000, Bloomberg reported. Sony's PlayStation VR 2 and HTC's Vive XR Elite will be launched this month, while Google announced a new pair of AR glasses for translation at last year's Google I / O conference, and Meta's Quest 3 will arrive before the end of the year.
