CTOnews.com, February 1, Acer's latest Chromebook for the education market is a small laptop with an 11.6-inch or 12-inch HD display that supports up to 8GB memory and storage space up to 64GB or 128GB, depending on the model.

Acer Chromebook 511 Acer has launched four new Chromebook models, starting at $380 to $500. Some models are two-in-one notebook tablets with 360-degree hinges and support for pressure-sensitive pens, and all models can choose a touchscreen display. All laptops use Intel 12-generation processors.

These devices use different Intel 12th generation chips. Three new Chromebook options include Intel processor N100 or N200. These low-cost, low-power processors are part of the Intel Alder Lake-N family. Each chip has 6W power and has four Gracemont CPU cores-- basically the efficiency cores used in other 12th-generation processors.

The fourth laptop is the Acer Chromebook Vero 712, with a choice of Intel Celeron 7305, Pentium Gold 8505 or Core i3-1215U chips. Although these 15W processors have slightly better performance, they have at least one performance core. Combined with a higher basic power rating, the performance of the Vero 712 is better.

Acer Chromebook Vero 712 this is also Acer's first Chromebook to join the Vero brand, which means incorporating sustainable design elements. The chassis and display frame are made of 30% recycled plastic, and the keycap uses 50% recycled plastic. The notebook box is also made of 100% recycled pulp.

Acer Chromebook Spin 512Acer said all four of its new laptops use rugged design elements, including reinforced corners, shock cushions, reinforced ports and spatter-proof keyboards. Users spill some water on the keyboard without causing any damage, and the laptop can withstand falling from a height of up to 48 inches (1.22 meters).

CTOnews.com learned that the new Acer Chromebook 511s and Chromebook Spin 512s also include replaceable keyboards that can be removed with only two screws removed.
