Now, these companies can standardize cloud operations through Red Hat Enterprise Linux running on OCI, giving customers access to a common platform that extends from the data center to OCI distributed cloud technology.

Through cooperation, the certified flexible virtual machine configuration of OCI can run Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and customers can smoothly migrate workloads originally running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux to Red Hat Enterprise Linux running on OCI. OCI flexible virtual machines support scaling as low as a single CPU to optimize cost performance and reduce resource waste. Customers can also enjoy support services provided by Red Hat and Oracle to solve potential problems.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux is the backbone of the Red Hat hybrid cloud technology portfolio, which includes Red Hat OpenShift (Red Hat OpenShift), Red Hat Ansible Automation platform (Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform), and other technologies to support modern cloud native stacks.

CTOnews.com learned that Red Hat Enterprise Linux is now certified on the OCI flexible virtual machine, whose single CPU supports 1-80 CPU cores and 1 GB-1024 GB memory, depending on the processor. The new OCI virtual machine configuration supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux through AMD, Intel, and Arm processors.

What is OCI distributed cloud technology OCI distributed cloud technology provides customers with the advantages of cloud to better control data residency, locality and sovereignty, and even manage across multiple clouds. OCI distributed cloud technology has the following characteristics:

Cloudy: OCI's multi-cloud capabilities, such as Oracle database services for Microsoft Azure and MySQL HeatWave, allow customers to choose the right cloud provider for applications and databases.

Hybrid Cloud: OCI provides hybrid cloud services in local deployments and manages infrastructure in more than 60 countries through Oracle Exadata proprietary Cloud Database all-in-one (Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer).

Public cloud: OCI currently operates 41 OCI regions in 22 countries and plans to add 9 regions, including two sovereign cloud regions of the European Union.
