CTOnews.com, February 1 (Xinhua)-- Rose Young, CEO of screen supply chain consultancy DSCC, said in his latest tweet that Apple is developing a 20.5inch foldable laptop, which could be released as soon as 2025.

In its tweet, Young disagreed with the prediction of another analyst, Guo Mingyi, that there was no news that Apple would launch a collapsible iPad in 2024. For now, both Young and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman disagree with Guo's prediction.

Young retweeted Gurman's tweet and then tweeted: "what I know so far is that Apple may launch a 20.5-inch collapsible laptop in 2025, but I don't know that Apple will introduce a foldable iPad in 2024. Maybe this news is a good PR for hinge companies."

CTOnews.com learned from Ross Young's follow-up interaction with netizens that Young said the foldable device is called a "notebook" by the screen supply channel, and it is not possible to determine whether it is running iPadOS or macOS.
