Beijing, January 31 (Xinhua) Tesla said on Tuesday that it has increased its capital expenditure plan for next year by $1 billion (currently about 6.75 billion yuan). Currently, the company is seeking to increase production of 4680 battery cores for electric vehicle batteries and Semi heavy-duty trucks.

Tesla Tesla said in a regulatory filing that it is expected to spend $7 billion to $9 billion in 2024 and 2025, up from $6 billion to $8 billion this year. Last year, Tesla said he expected to invest between $6 billion and $8 billion in 2023 and 2024.

Just a few days ago, Tesla announced that he would invest US $3.6 billion (currently about 24.3 billion yuan) to build two new plants near the existing production base in Reno, Nevada, to produce 4680 battery cores and Semi trucks. Tesla aims to produce 50, 000 Semi trucks by 2024.

Tesla shares fell 1.8 per cent before trading.
