At present, three cloned cattle have been born in the base.

Based on production performance records and somatotype evaluation, this batch of cloned dairy cows selected star dairy cows with high yield, longevity and excellent stress resistance in the population, collected ear margin tissue, cultured skin fibroblasts, and produced cloned embryos through nuclear transfer. and carry out embryo transfer to make it a core member of the 100-ton star cow population.

According to the report, the pregnancy rate of the first batch of 120 cloned embryos transferred reached 42% and the pregnancy rate reached 17.5% in more than 200 days. It marks the further maturity of this technology in practical application. For the first time, cloning technology has been successfully applied to the key link of improved breed breeding of dairy cows, reaching the international advanced level. It is another major breakthrough in the field of improved breed breeding technology of dairy cows after the successful application of in vivo egg collection-in vitro embryo production (OPU-IVP) in October 2022.
