CTOnews.com, January 31, Sunil V L of Ventana Micro Systems today released a total of 24 Linux kernel patches that provide ACPI infrastructure support for RISC-V processor architecture.

Ventana was founded in 2018 to become a "RISC-V performance leader". The company released today a patch for the Linux kernel that enables advanced configuration and power interface (ACPI) infrastructure on the RISC-V processor architecture.

Ventana showed relevant manuscripts as early as the RISC-V Summit in 2021, which contained a great deal of technology-related information. This document also involves the upstream (upstream) RISC-V ACPI platform specification, which meets the ACPI requirements of the RISC-V server platform.
