Geely Technology said that since the self-developed flying vehicle project and full-scale technology verification machine were first announced in August 2022, AE200 has advanced at full speed in product development, airworthiness verification and other work. In November 2022, it received the first acceptance notice for approval of the type of manned pure electric vertical take-off and landing manned aircraft; in December 2022, it completed the flight testing of all critical system test platforms; in December 2022, the AE200 X01 aircraft completed its final assembly; on January 17, 2023, the first flight test of the AE200 X01 aircraft was successfully completed.

CTOnews.com learned that the AE200 is a 5-seat pure electric power vertical take-off and landing manned aircraft (flying vehicle) independently developed by Wofeng. Aiming at city circle and intercity travel scene, it has the characteristics of high performance, high security and high comfort, meets the diversified travel needs of urban agglomeration / intercity, and has rich use expansion ability.

Geely Technology said that in the new year, Geely Technology Wafei will focus on key technology verification and flight testing, continue to carry out relevant flight tests and application pilot exploration, accumulate flight safety data, and continue to promote the determination of airworthiness requirements, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent completion of compliance verification.
