CTOnews.com, January 31, according to the Financial Times and Bloomberg on January 30, Twitter has paid the first $300m of interest on the $13 billion debt Mr Musk used to buy the platform.

It is reported that last Friday, Twitter and Morgan Stanley and other seven banks settled quarterly interest payments. The looming bill has been closely watched because it is Musk's first major test of Twitter's financial management, and concerns about Twitter's financial health are growing.

CTOnews.com learned that in addition to the money he borrowed from syndicates including Morgan Stanley and Bank of America, the Musk also sold Tesla's shares to finance his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter.

Since taking the helm of the social media platform in October, Mr Musk has focused on cutting costs through layoffs and launching new plans for Twitter Blue subscriptions.

Worried about Mr Musk's approach to content censorship rules, Twitter advertisers also fled, hurting their revenues. Musk also noted a "massive" decline in Twitter's revenue in November and accused activist groups of putting pressure on advertisers.
