At the same time, the company is also testing so-called virtual spaces, which are a bit like private homes in the VR world, with strict controls on visitors. On the other hand, the membership space will set the membership limit to 150 and the number of online visitors to no more than 25.

Meta said the new membership space is suitable for small groups such as book clubs and game teams, providing VIP services and making it easier for friends to get together. "because you have complete control over who can access your world, creators can always provide a positive experience in which people can connect, creating a strong and prosperous community." But industry insiders believe that from this introduction, it seems to be more like a Facebook group or Discord than a VR service.

Unfortunately, most users currently do not have access to the membership space, as the service was initially tested only for "a small number of trusted creators". Meta said it would limit the size of the test population in order to "get design and audit feedback on the exclusive world of members to further iterate and improve the product."

Meta also hides an important piece of information about the future of Horizon Worlds in his blog post: the service will be available to both web and mobile users "soon".
