CTOnews.com January 30 news, Xiaomi Group global vice president Manu Kumar Jain announced his resignation today, he was Xiaomi in India market important executives.

▲ Manu Kumar Jain joined Xiaomi Group in 2014 and served as head of Xiaomi India business for a long time. He tweeted today that he was leaving Xiaomi after nine years at the company. He said Xiaomi has a strong leadership team around the world and hopes Xiaomi's global team will achieve greater success in the future.

CTOnews.com learned that Canalys 'research shows that Xiaomi ranked first in the Indian market in smartphone share by 20% in 2022, with 29.6 million shipments for the whole year.

Manu Kumar Jain says:

Change is the only constant in life. In 2013, after co-founding and developing the e-commerce website Jabong, I stumbled upon Xiaomi and its unique concept of "innovation for everyone." It resonates with me a lot.

In 2014, I joined Xiaomi Group and started its journey to India. The first few years were full of ups and downs. We are the smallest of hundreds of smartphone brands with limited resources and no relevant industry experience. But thanks to a great team, we were able to build one of the most popular brands in the country.

There are a few things I am proud of: Within three years, Xiaomi has become India's largest smartphone brand. Tata's decision to support us and invest in the company was an incredible moment. 100% of our smartphones and smart TVs are made in India.

Our expanding operations have helped create more than 50000 jobs in India. After building a strong team and business, I hope to help other markets through our learning. For this purpose, I went abroad about 1.5 years ago (July 2021) and subsequently joined Xiaomi International team.

I am proud of the strong Indian leadership team that continues to work independently and tirelessly to bring the latest technology to millions of Indians.

After nine years, I will leave Xiaomi Group. I believe now is the right time because we have strong leadership teams around the world. I wish the Xiaomi global team all the best and wish them even greater success.

The past nine years have been truly extraordinary and I will always cherish the love and support I have received from fans, partners, team members and friends. I was lucky enough to experience something special that made it hard for me to say goodbye.

Over the next few months, I'll take some time off before taking on my next professional challenge. I'm an architecture enthusiast, and I want to create something new in a new industry.
