CTOnews.com, January 29 (Xinhua)-- smartphone shipments in China fell 14% year-on-year to 287 million units in 2022, falling below 300 million units for the first time in nearly a decade, Canalys reported today.

Among them, vivo won the crown of annual shipments, while Glory and Apple grew by 30% and 4% respectively, ranking second and third in the market, respectively. CTOnews.com learned that the report pointed out that the Chinese mainland mobile phone market remained low in the fourth quarter of 2022, with overall shipments of 74.4 million units, down 14% from a year earlier. Specifically:

Apple fell 24% year-on-year due to the release pace and the continuity of production at Zhengzhou Foxconn, but it still shipped 16.4 million units from the release of the iPhone 14 series, ranking first.

The vivo was competed by Apple during the peak season, ranking second with a 17% market share, shipping 12.7 million units.

OPPO (including one plus) shipped 12.5 million units, ranking third, maintaining its performance in the third quarter.

Glory shipped 12.2 million units, ranking fourth in terms of shipments.
