CTOnews.com, January 29, according to CCTV financial reports, the C919 domestic airliner is expected to start carrying passengers in March this year. Since December 26 last year, China Eastern C919 aircraft began to conduct 100 hours of verification flight.

So far, C919 aircraft have carried out intensive verification missions in 9 cities and 10 airports, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Haikou, Qingdao, Wuhan, Jinan and Nanchang, and will continue to travel to Hefei, Nanjing, Taiyuan, Shanghai Pudong and other destinations according to the plan.

CTOnews.com learned that China Eastern Airlines' first domestic C919 aircraft yesterday carried out a flight from MU7817 Hongqiao to Nanchang. This is the first flight of the C919 in the year of the Rabbit in Guimao, adding a new destination for 100 hours of verification flight.

China Eastern Airlines Jiangxi Branch said that China Eastern Airlines has now completed the training of the C919 aircraft for the first batch of 9 pilots, 24 flight attendants and 13 aircraft maintenance personnel, together with the second batch of key post personnel being trained, the number of support personnel of the C919 aircraft is sufficient to meet the initial verification flight needs.

▲ Touyuan: China Eastern Airlines Jiangxi Branch revealed earlier this month that the C919 plans to have an annual production capacity of 150aircraft in the next five years, with more than 1200 orders. According to the previously disclosed purchase agreement, the unit price of the C919 is $99 million (about 671 million yuan), while the unit price of the RMB catalogue is 653 million yuan.
